On Sept. 19, 2025 at 1:32 PM I received a scam call about a "student loan forgiveness" program asking for $3,000. The call appeared to come from Gleason City Drug Store's phone number. I'm aware of caller-ID spoofing, I first called CVS Pharmacy and St. Vincent Pharmacy that same day about similar spoofed calls. Both thanked me and said they would forward the information to their security teams. Immediately after hanging up with them, I called Gleason City Drug Store at 1:49 PM to alert them that scammers were using their number. Unfortunately, the woman who answered hung up on me. Hoping to reach someone else, I called again at 2:07 PM, but it was the same woman, and she hung up on me again without showing any interest in passing my warning to management. I’m posting this review so the owner/management are aware that their number is being spoofed and to encourage better customer service when concerned callers try to warn them. Scammers could harm vulnerable people who think they’re speaking to this pharmacy.
