Ever since Ruth Olsen took over as the lead pharmacist at Target-CVS Glendale, the service has declined significantly. I have been a customer for the past two or three years, but once she appeared on the scene, the friendly and courteous service that I had come to expect was a thing of the past. Candee, the previous pharmacist, went on maternity leave, and that’s when things began to go downhill, starting with Ruth’s very first day. I have found her to be extremely rude, filled with negative energy, and yesterday was the last straw. I have had my records transferred to another pharmacy, where I have already found the service to be a significant improvement over what I have come to expect from Ruth, I phoned Customer Relations and made a complaint on how unprofessional Ruth Olsen was and got a stock reply. Very disappointing
Very disappointed with this pharmacy. This was my first and definitely last — visit. I waited four days just for a simple prescription transfer. When I finally came in, I spent an hour waiting for them to correct the days’ supply from 30 to 90 — despite there being six employees and no crowd. Completely unacceptable service.
Avoid using this pharmacy. They’re too busy to provide any level or customer service whatsoever. Another CVS was out of the pain meditation that was called in yesterday and sent me (sadly) to the location. Which did not open I until 9:00. So I waited. And then waited in a line and then was told that they just opened and it would be 45 minutes. I asked if I could be expedited as my brother is in 10/10 pain with pancreatic cancer but was quite dismissively told no. I waited in my car for 45 minutes and came back in. No line this time, but they ignored me. And then said, yours isn’t ready yet. A pharmacist has to do it. I’m asked how long it would be (again) and was told I had just been here. I asked him to look at the clock. It’s been 45 minutes, which is how long he told me it would be. I am still standing here, being ignored by everyone. Try a different pharmacy where they may care about something other than profits maybe? But AVOID THIS ONE
The worst. I've tried for months and months to give them a shot for the convenience, but they almost always mess up my orders; they've gotten very creative in how they mess them up. They never hold themselves accountable and they give false information. Good for vaccines but get your meds elsewhere.
Hard working team who actually pick up the phone when you call, return calls, and try to help every time. They don’t treat you like you’re bothering them like many other places. Always friendly and helpful, and sort out impossible insurance issues with patience! I’m so grateful for their help!
On 4/23/2024 I ordered a medication to be delivered to my work address on the CVS app. Mind you, I’ve had important things delivered there and there weren’t any problems. That evening I got to thinking and decided to change the order to be delivered to my home address in case it would arrive on Saturday. I work Monday through Friday and don’t have access to the building on the weekends. On 04/24 I called CVS and spoke with a female pharmacist and explained the situation and I asked to change the delivery location. She found my order and explained to me that she will have to cancel the order and make a new one. I agreed and so she did just that. Afterwards she told me my delivery fee will for be $9.49 for same day delivery and $5.49 for standard shipping. She said it will be delivered via USPS. I told her that when I purchased the medication through the app it said free shipping. I asked if she will honor that price and she said no. She said according to my insurance the delivery is in fact $5.49 or $9.49. She went on to tell me that it’s USPS that will charge me, not CVS. At this point I told her I’d call back and let her know which route I want to take. 15 minutes later I called and spoke with a male pharmacy tech and explained what the pharmacist and I discussed. He said he overheard our conversation and repeated what she said. At this point his tone has changed and he seemed irritated and aggressive about me calling back and asking a few more questions. I was obviously upset bc of this whole situation. I proceeded to ask if I do purchase the medication through the app will I get free shipping. I was told, “No, the 1st time you order through the app you get free shipping. That’s it”. I told him I will call back. Later, I called back and spoke with a different lady who was very understanding and I bought the medication to be delivered to my home with the standard shipping. After the transaction she told me that I will have to be home to sign for the package. I told her okay since the estimated delivery date was 04/26. Not once was I told this information while speaking with the pharmacist and pharmacy tech. My medication was delivered on 04/27 and placed in my mailbox. A signature wasn’t required and there wasn’t a delivery fee. The information given to me by all 3 employees was false. CVS, please train your employees to speak facts when a customer has questions about their medication/s being delivered. The headache I went through could have been avoided if I was given the facts.
I am a Type 1 diabetic so getting my prescriptions correct is very important. I have always been impressed with the entire team at this CVS. They have been really great to work with and I appreciate the care and concern they give to their customers. It can’t be an easy location to work being right smack in the middle of Target. A special shout out to Sophia, one of the Lead Pharmacists. She is so wonderful. She literally remembers my name every time I go pick up a prescription or have a question regarding my insulin. She is always extremely helpful, not to mention, incredibly intelligent and seems to be a fantastic leader. CVS is really lucky to have her!
Friendly staff, doctor called in my prescription and it was filled the same day. Don’t know what all the negative reviews are on about
If you are going to any other pharmacy…don’t. Dr. Katie and her team are amazing people first and knowledgeable experts second. They will do everything in their power to ensure that your issue, big or small, is mitigated and you can continue to lead a healthy life. Awesome people and genuine. Again, switch to this CVS. If you don’t, that’s on you.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel people need to know to avoid at all costs. It’s no wonder they have so many one star reviews, very incomplete pharmacists here. I would advise people to avoid this pharmacy. I was given the wrong medication not once but TWO times. $800 charged to my insurance and $40 out of pocket. The first I let it go the second time I asked her to please make sure it’s the correct current prescription since I am pregnant and can’t even take that medication. After coming back to tell them it was incorrect again they couldn’t have cared less about their mistakes. I called the customer service and he had the manager reach out to me who wasted my time by having me tell the whole story just to tell me there is nothing he can do and cant refund me for their mistakes and it’s our responsibility as the consumer to make sure the pharmacist gives you the correct medication. Waste to time and money take you business elsewhere.
