Sadly, this is not the same Walgreens as before. I was a 20+ yr customer of Walgreens here and really liked and trusted the former head pharmacist, Robbie. He no longer works here as head pharmacist he was a kind person that cared about his customers well being. Lately, for past month, when I try to call this pharmacy I'm on hold for so long it's almost incredible that the recording says there are 3 callers ahead of me but I can easily still be on hold up to 40 minutes. I have had my phone calls disconnected several times while I waited to speak to the pharmacy employees. I suppose they are extra busy. Quite a few times they don't have my medicine in stock even though I have had same medication for years now. The wait time to get your medication is unbelievably long if its in stock. They do have a good selection of other items you may need for your household or personal care thats not affiliated with the pharmacy. Perhaps, they are overwhelmed with an influx of new customers and will find a way to accommodate and satisfy everyone's needs. I wish them well as they are incorporating new employees and changes they are making.
This place is absolutely horrible i cant get my medicine in its been over 5 weeks. My medicine is fully out of my system so i lost months of progress and its ruining my only hope of clearing away from this and is ruining my life. Thanks walgreens for being absolutely useless.
Update: of course it wasnt ready today as promised, since i was down to 1 pill, they got it ready before closing, I can hardly believe I have it now. . They refill what i dont need, and dont renew what i do need. Ive been trying to get my 1 Rx for a few days. I'll be out Monday. They made my dr call it in twice dec 5th. Starting December 22, my insurance would have paid for it again. I was told it would auto renew Dec 27. It DIDN'T, and it's not even listed for refilling on website. I called phone system, and it said they cant renew it. Online the automated system says it'll be ready Monday, unless there's a delay. Guess they can pay my medical bill if it's delayed since I've been trying to get it into the system since Dec 5 and filled since Dec 22. If this was the 1st time, I wouldn't give them a 1 star.
The staff are very friendly and always helpful. Picking up prescriptions is often quick if you avoid peak times. The pharmacy staff are the best.
Staff is grossly undertrained and increasingly pissy with customers. Staff lies about why they haven't filled rxs. When you call them out on it, they supply you with 2 more lies. Staff does not properly dispense drugs even when specified by physician to DISPENSE AS WRITTEN. They care not for their mistakes and don't attempt to correct them. Waiting on prescriptions to get transferred to another pharmacy takes forever without regard for the fact that patients need their meds (antibiotics) filled when they need them, especially when Walgreens couldn't be bothered to fill them.
I find LIES from professionals like pharmacist and their staff to be quite offensive & confusing. I have become a pharmacy hopper, trying to find continuity of information and NO LIES. This is the 3rd pharmacy that has out right lied to me about my insurance covering NAME BRAND medication. I have health reasons for requesting NAME BRANDS, which is NO PHARMACIES BUSINESS. PHARMACIES are part of the reason KY ranks so close to the bottom of the barrel in HEALTH CARE. If YOU HAVE TO LIE to increase your revenue...How sad.
I do not recommend at all. It takes all day to get your prescriptions filled. It doesn’t matter what day it is, they always have the excuse that they are backed up. You can get help at the drive thru window because the staff will walk away and leave you sitting there for a long time. After many months of issues I have finally decided to switch pharmacies.
Robbie is the best... Now if we could get rid of that girl pharmacist rite aid would be a good place. Never had a problem till I dealt with her. She needs more schooling.
Been going to this place for years and i've never had any problems. I have never used the pharmacy in this location however the rest of the facility is great.
