I cannot stand working with Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. My son had leukemia and so he needed an oral chemo delivered every 8 weeks. I just ordered our last bottle and honestly I have to finally complain after 2.5 years of this. It takes me 25-30 minutes every 8 weeks to order this one bottle. They make me call, sit on hold, then people ask me a million questions that are totally irrelevant. (Example: if my son was having allergic reactions to this medication, we would be telling our oncologist who would then no longer order this medication……stop wasting my time with silly questions). Then after all that, they read through this whole script - i just zone out. It’s a long script going over the medication and my address that’s been the same for the last 2.5 years, the card I’m using to pay, how much I’m paying—- omg it’s exhausting. Please for the love of God. Just let people order it on the portal!!! Let me answer the questions online and check boxes that I understand. I don’t want to call. No one wants to call. We already talk to our doctors for an hour before we even get the script. Stop wasting everyone’s time!
They are always well stocked. However, the staff is condensing, murmurs microagressions, doesn't ask if you have questions about your medication and oftentimes doesn't meet deadlines on when they claim prescriptions will be ready. The culture is incredibly stoic with an unapproachable staff who demonstrate no bedside manner with customers.
Caring and efficient service. The pharmacist took time to answer my questions and found a coupon for my prescription. They deliver, which is a lifesaver when you’re unwell.
Great Place staff was going above and beyond to. Helen was a real help for me. She was a blessing needed Meds A. S. A. P. For my Mother she did everything in her power to help. A++++
IT IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO ORDER BY PHONE. iT MAY TAKE HOURS TO BE ANSWERED. A "new " surprise - besides the phone issues. Now the service of ordering is terrible. The management of the pharmacy just avoids speaking to customers. This pharmacy beats the record "the worst Walgreens pharmacy" in Boston area.
This Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy has been holding my 3 month old daughter's prescription hostage. They left a generic message for me telling me I needed to call them back about the prescription. I tried calling back and was on hold for over an hour before I gave up. The hospital (where my daughter was seen for this prescription) pharmacy then attempted to fill the prescription since I was getting nowhere with Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. The couldn't refill it because Walgreens already run the prescription through my insurance. The hospital pharmacy tried calling Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy to cancel the prescription and they also couldn't get anyone on the phone. I called my local Walgreens who tried to help and they ALSO couldn't get anyone on the phone. I now have to drive an hour to and an hour back from the hospital just to get a sample of the medication for my infant because Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy can't answer their phones. TAKE YOUR SPECIALTY PRESCRIPTIONS ELSEWHERE!
This used to be one of the best pharmacies around now. I've already tried to call a few times over a 30-minute wait both times and still not able to get through through the name changed and so did their service. Unfortunately not for the better
This place told me I could let the pharmacist fill me prescriptions automatically when they were due! I have nine prescriptions every month and in the last six months, none of my prescriptions have ever been filled! Like who woulda known!
No one has answered the phone at this location for multiple days and I'm unable to order transplant rx refills for delivery. My only choice is to switch all my transplant rxs to a cvs near me. Super disappointed, because I liked using this pharmacy for transplant stuff. Back when they answered the phone - or even better, called me when I needed refills delivered - they were awesome.
terrible. i got through once and all they sent was 1 of the many scrips i need. as a recent post transplant recipient it is imperative i get these ASAP and now can’t get through to them via phone. i had been contacted by someone last week and she had little understanding of english about sending me prescriptions and i asked several times several different ways if they would be sending all the scrips i needed and was told yes.
They've gone to hell in short order. They once were reliable but now...Cancelling prescription orders without notice, not answering phones, not helpful when you do talk to someone. Taking my business elsewhere.
Friendly counter service or you can have your prescriptions shipped. Not a full US drugstore that sells toothpaste and soap, it's only for prescriptions so they are specialists.
