Giant Pharmacy

It appears that the Giant corporation has FINALLY hired new staff and Pharmacists at the Giant Food Pharmacy #341 (Oxon Hill, MD). I have visited this location for the past 3 years to pick up prescriptions for my parents and there is a significant difference in the pace in which the prescriptions are now filled and it is obvious the current staff is competent and interacts with the customers in a professional manner unlike what I had experienced before. In particular, Ms. Barbara (has worked at this store for years) and Ms. Shatia have both exhibited pleasant demeanors and are always willing to help. Kudos to both of them and now it is actually a pleasant trip to the Giant Pharmacy to ensure my parents get the medications they need. P Elizabeth

I love shopping here. The bakery items are my favorite, I love the peanut butter cookies here. The lines move fast and the employees all seem nice and helpful.

The pharmacy is terrible. I needed to have my prescription refilled and called the pharmacy several days ago. I was told that it would be ready today. When I arrived at the store, they said it would be a 10 minute wait. I returned shortly after and was then told that my medication would not be available until the following day. This evening, I got a call from someone else claiming that my medication is now backordered with no estimated arrival date. The only solution offered was a suggestion to transfer to a different pharmacy. The customer service and communication at this location is very poor. I need my medication NOW and I should have been given accurate information much sooner, so that I could make other arrangements. My biggest issue is with the pharmacy staff. They never answer the phones - it took several days and numerous calls to speak to someone. None of the individuals that I encountered showed any remorse for the miscommunication, nor did they express any true concern for my situation. This is extremely disappointing, given the sensitivity of this issue. There was zero accountability and it is very apparent that they do not care.

Horrible. This pharmacy used to be decent, now it’s trash. I’ve never waited less than 45 mins for a prescription pickup, even when I’ve been told to give it “15 mins”. I’ve waited an hour before. Today, staff were arguing, so it slowed down the process. This is my last time using this pharmacy. I’m currently waiting for a prescription that was supposed to be ready as I got the message stating it was ready for pickup. Then I get here and they tell me “15 mins” so I wait 15 mins. Then another 15. Then another. And yet no one has come to tell me what the hold up is or how much longer. The worst pharmacy ever. I’m done.

This is the worst pharmacy EVER!!! They don’t have enough people you have pharmacist that come from behind the counter. They’re supposed to help when there’s a line, but want to take people they know first over people in the line for a pick up, they are still supposed to get in line they should not pick and choose who they would like to service first.

The Pharmacy will call you and tell you your medication is ready only to have you waiting 2 hours on arrival. They are so slow and unorganized it’s crazy. I absolutely hate going there.

They always give u a time and wen u get there ur medicine is never ready so u have to sit an wait for hour because u need ur meds the people who work there are very rude an disrespectful

Everytime you go to this pharmacy you have to wait. ....I had a prescription called in a week ago and purposely waited a week to go and get it and guess what IT STILL WASN'T READY.....How ridiculous....I will be reaching out to corporate immediately tomorrow morning

Staff feels very entitled and is very rude

They NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND need to UPDATE their system to receive texts when prescription is ready. This place is so slow
