1. Worst hours 2. Worst customer service desk (lady working 10/7 evening) 3. Worst prices (almost anywhere else is cheaper Target, BJs, Walmart)
I have been using the Giant Pharmacy on Freetown Road for 15 years now. Overall, I have found them to very good. Yes, there have been a few pharmacists that have been difficult to deal with or counter staff that needed more time/training but that has been the exception rather than the rule. One particular thing I like about the pharmacy is the ability to get vaccinations in a closed room next to the counter rather than in faux screened off area offered by other pharmacies (e.g., CVS).
We have shopped at this Giant for over 31 years. They are fine and reasonable. Don’t be swayed by negativity.
Angry upset staff at this Giant Pharmacy for some time now. They are never in a hurry to help and care about a patient that needs medication when they are in the store waiting right in front of them! It seems they must fill the Q first before they can help anyone else! Terrible customer service and the girl that works the register doesn't even know what AZO is! What ever happened to the good old days where people truly cared about sick patients and cared about how they treated them! Now you are just another number and they seem to hate what they do for a living! For as long as I have been in the medical world I have never treated my patients like a number no matter how busy I am or how I feel they are my patients and I care! If you are sick and need medication in a hurry, unless you want to wait 2 hours to fill your prescription which was for antibiotics not a maintenance drug which by the way has taken 3 days or more to fill. Giant needs to get New staff that cares or get more help, so they won't be so angry!
I have found the pharmacy staff to be wonderful, patient and compassionate. Also, no nonsense, they want you to get what you need and they are on to the next. They understand that people hate waiting and they try their very best to staff so that customers do not have to.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had. The ladies rigging people up had no idea what they were doing and were unable to help me. I had to have the pharmacist assist me in simply picking up my prescription and even after the medicine was ready, I was told by the pharmacist, the lady at the register still tried to tell me it was not. The ladies were unable to do there jobs at all. When ringing me up she didn’t know how to charge me through the insurance and I had to pay full price without insurance and then as I asked for a refund the other lady told me “good luck we’re really busy so you can try to wait but we close early so we probably won’t get to you.” Absolutely terrible.
The practice of not accepting payment over the phone before arriving is flawed. I've waited excessive times, most recently over 30 minutes at the curb. The excuse that they've had bad experiences in the past rings hollow when the Giant Pharmacy in River Hill does accept payment in advance over the phone.
ZERO stars if I could! Such an unprofessional place and pls avoid it if you do not want to miss important doses of medicine!! They asked me to pay out of pocket and did not allow me to use my insurance because their tech person are UNABLE locate information needed from my insurance card: they asked for some number starting with RX, but they do not understand the RXGroup number is sometimes shown as Group # on many insurance cards, including mine. This is a common fact that anyone can find in a minute on Google. Instead, the staff there simply claimed that I am showing them the wrong card and refuse to let me use it. So bad!
i have never met people who truly think and move at the speed of the zootoipa sloth until i came here. Every single one of the pharmacists are condescending (to compensate for their lack of knowledge) and deranged at the same time. These people do not behave like normal human beings and every day i fear them more
The pharmacy made an error and when I called them to discuss it. They did not apologize and they were very rude. People like that should not deal with sick people. Even though I have been going there for sometime I am looking for a new pharmacy which will mean I will stop buying my groceries at giant as well
