CareFirst is easily the finest compounding pharmacy anywhere! Their formulas are precisely accurate; their pharmacists have unsurpassed knowledge and expertise; they're readily available on the phone during business hours to answer even the most difficult questions; they're very informative and immensely helpful; they're exceptionally pleasant and genuinely nice; and their deliveries are well-protected and affordably-priced. Give CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy a try, and you'll probably be one another of their biggest fans, too!

I went to CareFirst because the medication I needed was not covered by insurance. Not only are the prices very reasonable, but CareFirst has the best customer service! These days it seems everything is automated and it’s rare to speak to a human being. The people at CareFirst are consistently helpful and friendly. They asked if I had any questions for a pharmacist and I was immediately transferred to speak with the pharmacist. They said compounding would take 7-10 business days, but they got it done for me right away. Best of all, when I had a problem with an order, I responded to a text from CareFirst. I did not think I would get a reply because text alerts from my regular pharmacy are automated. But someone from CareFirst answered me right away and quickly corrected my prescription. I highly recommend CareFirst!

I have been using this Pharmacy for about a year and a half. I have never had any kind of problem with my prescriptions. They are always helpful to answer my questions and help me with getting the prescriptions from the doctor. They have always been friendly polite, and offering to help any way they can. I can honestly say I enjoy doing business with this company.

I love carefirst speciality pharmacy! They have a real customer-service focus and work hard to make sure every part of your experience is personally handled and with compassion. When on the phone with them, I never feel rushed or like they need to get to the next call quickly and they answer every question I have. Coordination with my veterinarian is easy, and they pay attention to detail and accommodate whatever gets thrown at them. I’m glad I found them!

Phenomenal quality and customer service!!! All the pharmacists here are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and easy to talk with ... they truly listen; they provide terrific feedback, suggestions, advice, and problem resolution; and they obviously really do care. Any business can have a name like CareFirst ... in this case, their name is demonstrated in everything they do. (And no ... this isn't a fake, solicited, or paid review, and I have no vested interest in the company, although this well-deserved review probably sounds like it!) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Care first has been my worst experience with compounding pharmacy thus far, and I’ve used several that I’ve been more than happy with, but my provider recommended using this one. I’ve reached out to my provider to request a different option they’d be willing to work with after this place has regularly messed up my order, never has stock when requesting a refill, and makes it impossible to get prescriptions on time. This recent time they didn’t even fill as requested, submitted multiple refills, and only got one, leaving me without my medication for extended period of time. Absolutely awful experience.

I'm out of pills for a second time in a row due to issues on their end. The first time they forgot to process it after they received my doctor's authorization. I called to see why I still hadn't received anything and they admitted to their mistake and overnighted the meds at no charge. This time I filled out the refill request and it said it was too early to fill. They didn't process it until after that date they specified. Then there was an issue with the HSA card, so I called and used a different card. They still charged my HSA card 4 times. It didn't go through, but showed as several hundred dollars in pending charges. I called about that, and they said they said the multiple charges were from an issue in their end and to give them a few days to fix it and to call back if it wasn't resolved. The charges are still pending. I called back and they now claim to not have any record of that card and I have to fix the situation directly with the HSA company. They also told me I was supposed to call them to push my prescription through earlier. Their solution was to tell me to make a note on my calendar to call them to order my prescriptions next time. Now I'm out of meds, which causes withdrawal symptoms and will take at least a week of taking them to get back to a functional level, and my prescription was just mailed out today.

I was involuntarily switched to CareFirst Pharmacy by my healthcare insurer for compounding prescription services. In contrast to others my healthcare coverage utilized previously, this company is extremely non-responsive, slow, poor customer service and consistently late in delivery of my prescription. I am doing whatever I can to get transferred to a different pharmacy.

I’ve ordered compounded medications (personal and pet) for years because the human medications seem like good quality and they compound hard to find medications/dosages; but since mid-2023, their customer service has radically declined. It takes 3-4 weeks to process refills, so for a 30-day prescription, you basically have to order the next refill as soon as it arrives. Don’t bother leaving voicemails, because no one listens to them, and internal communications are nonexistent. Every order is jammed full of thick, glossy, full color card stock marketing materials (not cheap to produce), yet for years they can’t manage to print a complete, itemized invoice compliant with IRS requirements (for FSA submission). Avoid their transdermal compounds for pets. The dosing is not consistent and even if your vet authorizes 90-120 days, they’ll only fill 30, even when you ask for more. The click pens have ample capacity, it seems they just want to charge the higher rate for monthly fills. Costly, inconvenient, and environmentally irresponsible. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

I only had a couple pills left when I realized I hadn't ordered a refill. I put the order in online & asked the order to be processed ASAP & why. I also called the customer service line & left a message to reiterate the urgency. Despite this being over the Labor Day Holiday, the script was quickly processed & shipped. I am very appreciative of the quick response to my error !!

What a scam! They charge you extra to get your medication to you in a reasonable time. They take too long to process the medication and wait until you run out, then charge you extra to deliver it.

I requested a prescription to be filled and 3 weeks later I had not heard anything. When I called them they said the lab lost the label and they never bothered to fill it even though they had charged me for it. Beware of this pharmacy.
