University pharmacy is hands down the best pharmacy experience i've had in my life. They're friendly fast and knowledgeable about all the medications I need. They took the time to individually price out each one of my medications and help me compare them to insurance vs out of pocket. Quite a lengthy process Tiffany and Richard were such a delight 😊 I'd recommend University pharmacy to anyone and everyone who wants to cut out all the nonsense and be treated with respect and like a friend 🧡
Cute vintage feel pharmacy. Half expected it to have a soda fountain in the back. Clerks were awesome. Helpful and knowledgeable about my RX. Made sure I understood the changes that had recently been made to it.
This is the best pharmacy in Utah by far. It isn’t the closest to my house and yet my family and I choose to go here. They don’t overcharge for anything and besides being able to easily pick to prescriptions they have the cutest and unique store inside.
I have two tier 4 medications which means I’m required to use a specialty pharmacy, and unfortunately for me that’s University Pharmacy. They do not offer autofill (their own words: “our system doesn’t work for that”), which forces patients to call every month to request the same medication they’ve been on for years instead of fixing their broken system. On top of this, most staff here (with the exception of Tony, who truly deserves recognition for his competence and kindness) seem unable to consistently process insurance or copay cards correctly. Instead of a simple request to refill, every call turns into a lengthy ordeal where I’m told my insurance doesn’t cover the medication, or that I don’t qualify for copay assistance, even though it’s the same process I’ve used every single month. I’ve even driven an hour to pick up medication I was told had been filled, only to be told there was no record of my call. Rather than take responsibility, Tiffany implied I was lying, which is both unprofessional and disheartening especially as I have the call record on my phone. On multiple occasions, they’ve had to make exceptions to deliver my medication because of their own mistakes. Yet today, I learned I am within their delivery range, despite being told every time I asked in the past that I was not. This is the kind of inconsistency that creates unnecessary stress for patients who rely on life-saving treatment. What made today especially upsetting was my interaction with Tiffany. Instead of empathy or accountability, I was met with sarcasm and condescension. I didn’t raise my voice or lash out, I did not blame her, I simply expressed frustration that I would have to drive an hour again due to another error. To be met with snark in response felt incredibly unprofessional, especially given the vulnerable position patients are in when they cannot access their life-saving prescribed medication. It is astonishing to me that a pharmacy serving patients with serious medical needs would allow staff to treat people this way. I can only assume that to respond with contempt instead of compassion when someone is in this kind of situation, comes from a place of deep unhappiness with their own life. For that, I genuinely wish Tiffany the best and hope she finds peace of mind that allows her to treat others with more kindness in the future. If you have medications that are relatively easy to fill, I’m sure this isn’t a terrible place to get your medication. However, if you have medications that require copay cards or to be run a specific way through insurance, the majority of people here don’t know how. I have compassion and no disdain for the people who work here who struggle with getting my medicine covered, as not being knowledgable isn’t the worst thing in the world, just a mild inconvenience. I’m sure those of you who need these kinds of medicine are familiar like me that it is an unfortunately common circumstance to have sweet service workers who are just not informed on how to help. I don’t fault them for that or think they deserve to be negatively criticized. However, to be met with someone like Tiffany with such a rotten personality on top of it, it definitely does not make it appealing to get my medicine here.
I really like these people, but I’ve been trusting them for a few years with my compounding prescriptions. I looked at my receipts and realized their shipping and refill system is so long that I went 90 full days with no medication last year alone. I knew I was waiting a lot longer than they kept saying but I only bought it 9 times in a 12 month period ONLY because they are so slow. And I believe it was also 9/12 the year before as well. Unacceptable. If I call on Wednesday, they say they’ll ship it Monday and they can’t bill it until Wednesday so that’s the earliest I can request it (which I means I’m out for the whole weekend and anything beyond that) and it’s still not out to the post office on Tuesday, and this is the story every single time. Patients die without this medication. Just go elsewhere and get your condition under control because it’ll never happen here. When I ask how to solve these frequent sudden discontinuations they have no solution. Just act bothered like my concern isn’t valid and I am being impatient.
This place absolutely sucks. On multiple occasions I have ordered my prescription via the phone just for them to tell me it’s ready and then when I show up to pick it up I always find out they “forgot to schedule it”. I hate having to use them as my pharmacy.
We were with a pharmacy for over 10 years. We learned about Univ Pharmcy and they have saved us a bundle of money on prescriptions. We love the heart of the staff and service!!
Amazing place to go for your pharmaceutical needs. Everyone is very friendly and understanding. It's like they actually care, unlike Walgreens or CVS. Highly recommend it if you don't want to stress about your meds.
I’ve been impressed by much of the staff, including Jackie, who is a phenomenal pharmacy tech who is friendly, knowledgeable, and is always helpful. She makes me feel valued as a patient/customer and takes the time to make sure I understand everything.
Pharmacist here caught a dangerous drug interaction my doctor missed. Delivered my antibiotics on time. Their compounding service made a custom cream that finally helped my eczema.
