Downtown Pharmacy

Quite surprised with unprofessionalism and unhelpful behavior displayed by the pharmacy staff. I've had multiple instances where questions for the pharmacy were met with unprofessionalism. No matter how polite and succinct the communication to pharmacy staff is framed, I am always met with disdain. Never experienced that in other pharmacies in the city, including ones not part of a chain (i.e. CVS). Will rather go to Tribeca Apothecary and even HealthSource Pharmacy uptown to get better service.

James is an amazing pharmacist very informative and caring like a true mom and pop pharmacy like the old days was open on Sunday when all other pharmacies are closed. Gave very thoughtful care while we had an emergency in down town. service is much better than any chain. If you are in the financial district make Down town pharmacy your first choice!

Great pharmacy all around! Service is excellent-very prompt, even with phone calls they always pick up very fast without making you go through an operator or putting you on hold. Staff is very kind. Everything is always ready to go, I never have to wait in line. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a functional, fast pharmacy with great service!

Cannot say enough great things about this pharmacy - they’re extremely thorough and detail oriented, not to mention fast at filling prescriptions and they have great communication if for some reason they don’t have something in stock. Plus they are friendly and nice to interact with.

My family and I have been using Downtown Pharmacy for over twenty years. The staff is great and very helpful and respectful. The pharmacists, all of them are caring and address all our needs. They are professional in every sense of the word. A great neighborhood place. Much better than big box drug stores. Please support them!

If you’re looking for a pharmacy. GO HERE. A neighborhood small business gem with great staff helped me sort out a prescription that was back ordered for months at the big box chains. Really saved me that night and they took the time to stay open a little longer to transfer my script over as they had it in stock when I was quoted months at the chain pharmacy. These people clearly love what they do. Won business in the future for sure.

I always as both a doctor and patient look for a non chain pharmacy. These little heroes are rare and in nyc almost extinct. But if you can find one give them your business. This one unlike some others and all chain drugstores actually has pharmacist pick up the phone. They were friendly and professional. The pick up was quick and smiles were shown. This is rare and valuable. I walked an extra 20 minutes but saves time on call -backs long lines and the all too frequent communication errors. My dad and two uncles and my kids’ godfathers were all independent pharmacists. They are entrepreneurs and public servants. The corporate ones are just like corporate doctors and vets and hospitals. Cold uninvited non passionate clock watchers Nice going Downtown Pharmacy. Nice going.

These guys are the best--i have been going monthly for the last 4 years and unfortunately they no longer take my insurance so i must go elsewhere. I wish i didn't have to, because every visit, interaction, request, etc had been taken care of immediately, successfully, and kindly. Monthly pharmacy visits can be nerve-wracking--in fact, anything dealing with health, medicine, insurance can be these days--but here it never was. They always stocked my medication, took care of insurance and authorizations, and were in contact when necessary. As big business and chain stores have cornered more and more of the pharmacy market--and almost always prioritize customer service and care below their corporate policy--the team at Downtown is sadly one of the few remaining "neighborhood" pharmacies where patients are people, not a number. Thanks to everyone there for great care!

Professional, Practical and Precise. From the Head Pharmacist to the Technicians to the persons at the register-- the entire team at Downtown Pharmacy is wonderfully professional and treat all customers with empathy and care. You will not find a better team of persons.

The pharmacists at Downtown pharmacy went above and beyond to help me fill my prescription that has been in short supply in the city. I am enormously grateful for their help. I will definitely use them again in the future. Five stars all around!
