I moved our family's prescriptions from Walgreens to Arapaho Pharmacy over a year ago and I have been thrilled with our experience there. It is so wonderful to speak to a human being and not a machine when I call them! I have never had to wait in line here, and while they sometimes have system hiccups, they always resolve them promptly and professionally. The staff is courteous and friendly, and I love supporting a locally owned business.

My husband and I have been using Arapaho Pharmacy since we discovered it in 2009. Arapaho Pharmacy is very caring and helpful and bends over backwards to get our prescriptions to us in a timely manner. We have compounded prescriptions which take a lot of time to make so we really appreciate it. I wish all pharmacies were like this one. It's almost impossible to find customer service like this anymore.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding this Arapaho pharmacy . Unfortunately, I had several frustrating experiences that I believe need the owners attention and everyone’s attention. Firstly, the staff seem to struggle with checking insurance information, which often leads to delays and confusion with our medications. Additionally, we have frequently received prescriptions that are missing five or more tablets, raising concerns about proper counting and inventory management. There is only one staff member by the name of ELIJAH , who has consistently provided reliable service, the overall experience has been disappointing for me and others in the community. I believe it’s essential for you, as the owner to be aware of these issues or you will lose most of your customers. I will never ever go back to this pharmacy . No good .

Arapaho Pharmacy is our go-to pharmacy and it is everything the chain pharmacies are not. Their staff is highly trained, knowledgeable, professional, prompt and personable, leaving you somewhat (pleasantly) surprised that you just dealt with a pharmacy. When you call, you get an actual human on the line immediately, ready to answer all of your questions and provide whatever help you need. They get to know their clients and they proactively plan for their ongoing needs, providing a personal touch in a world dominated by chain pharmacies to whom you are just a number that they would rather just send to a useless automated answering system or place on an infinite hold. If you want a pharmacy that actually cares about their clients (and that doesn't arbitrarily stop accepting your insurance policy... ::cough:: CVS :: cough::), check out Arapaho Pharmacy. They can also provide many medications the chain pharmacies do not offer, which really comes in handy when your little ones need a medication that requires more involved preparation methods (which is not all that uncommon). That's how we discovered them and our family is so glad we did! Be sure to check their hours and days of operation, as they may close a little earlier than some pharmacies, but they don't shut down completely for an hour at some point in the middle of the day like many chain pharmacies.

Came in Jan 8 and got fitted and ordered. Kim said she would call. Never called once. I called five times, the last time Wednesday February 26. She said it may have come in, she will check in the morning and give me a call (she didn't ask so I said my name, she didn't offer to check in the back. I said it's almost been two months what is the average turnaround, nothing). No call, it's Friday. She didn't ask for my name or phone number. Acts put off when I call.

I started going to this pharmacy several months ago when there was a shortage on my medication. They were extremely helpful and appreciated the customer service. When I called to see if my prescription was ready, they informed me they would no longer fill my medication. The person I spoke with seemed annoyed and did not make it clear why I could not longer be a customer. No apology for not letting me know they would no longer fill my medication. I was confused and felt judged. After calling another pharmacy, they explained the circumstances, and now understand why this was happening. Wish they could have been more compassionate and communicative about the situation.

Had a great experience when needing to call to see if they carried a medication without certain filler ingredients - much different than the 'big box' stores! Recommend and will be going out of my way to come here for the good service.

Despite only being able to serve Richardson residents, this pharmacy has a retro feel and very kind people who work very hard. They are very compassionate, and they do their best so that you can get what you need asap. The music that plays while I'm on hold is kind a cheesy groove, but honestly, it takes me back in a good way. Rock on, Arapaho Pharmacy!

Doesn't honor GoodRX, despite me finding them off the site. They wanted double the cost for my prescription and they're super slow. Was sent around noon, I waited until 5 pm to call. Despite having several hours to fill it, they told me it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Opted for an online pharmacy for convenience and price.

Won’t be using this pharmacy anymore. Despite it’s interesting vintage look, front desk staff are not neighborly and prices for common pediatric medicines are incredibly high. They also don’t take Good Rx. I paid literally twice the price I had recently paid at other pharmacies for the same meds. My mistake was buying it before I looked closer. They’ll only get the chance to fool me once.

I have been a patient here for five years. I have 7 medications that I have to keep track of and have a degenerative autoimmune/ neurological disease. The lack of empathy and their descisions to act as the doctor have sadly sadly done me …

I really want to like this pharmacy but they are just not friendly, I’ve never had a good interaction there that made me feel valued, I’m not sure if it’s just understaffed and they are busy or what someone said below being disorganized. My …

When your kid is sick, is late on Saturday and before you reach the pharmacy you get a call from them saying, we got this prescription from your doc, we are about to close but we will wait for you. That is great service.

They seem disorganized here. There are always miscommunications between them and my doctor, with the pharmacy always saying they have no prescription for me, when my doctor has documented the call in to them. I have gone for days and days …

A few procedural challenges. I get a call saying they don't have the meds after receiving my prescription. I go in they verify they do actually have the meds. This seems really baked in as our process. Like alot of things in this world, I'm deciding to call this quirky and leaving it at that.
