This is a gem of the community. The staff know all the clients/patients by name, they are super nice, and knowledgeable. The local is always spotless. They are crazy fast, from calling for a refill to picking up 15-20 minutes. If they dont have your medication they will order it and its there the next day. They also have a delivery service but I haven’t used it. The only downside is the hours. They only open half days on Saturday and 9-6 weekdays. I might be biased but it hard for me have to leave work earlier or arrive late to pick up my medicine. That being said, its a small price to pay for the quality of service they offer.
Used to feel like a safe pharmacy to use, but they won't restock necessary medication anymore. When I asked if they could restock over the phone, the woman said, and I quote: "Why would we stock this if you're the only person that needs it" with an attitude. Not sure if she's the new manager or a new hire, but that is a crazy way to treat your disabled customers. It feels horrible being treated like that from a place you put your trust in.
I'm honestly embarrassed that it took me so long to start using Katsaros. I'm even more embarrassed that I used Walgreens for as long as I did. A few years ago, I'd finally had enough with the myriad of issues with Walgreens (being left on hold indefinitely, lines that never move, constant out of stocks) and finally made the switch. I've never been happier. Quick, friendly service with amazing communication. I've never been in there for longer than ten minutes at once. My meds have never been out of stock. 10/10 best pharmacy in the neighborhood.
This pharmacy is amazing! Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful, and it feels like they personally care about the people they are serving. I'm always able to get in and out quickly with what I need, and have not had any issues with medications I need being out-of-stock since I switched from CVS to Katsaros. I strongly recommend to anyone!
Joe is hands down my favorite pharmacist. He knows his stuff, is light years faster than the big chain pharmacies, and he cares about you! Do yourself a favor and support this independent, locally owned pharmacy.
Joe is the greatest Pharmacist in modern times! He is like the pharmacist of the past where he gets to know you and your family personally. He has helped me and my family for over a decade now. If you want a pharmacist that actually cares about you come here! Insurances this day and age are all awful and have a special place in Hades waiting for them since they treat people so poorly. Joe makes life much easier compared to CVS, Walgreens, and any other brand name places that have a pharmacy. If you're in Hyde Park, no scratch that if you're anywhere near the Hyde Park neighborhood go to Katsaros! You also help small business when you go there!
So disappointing! I made an appointment for the vaccine, and when I got there, they refused me because I do not have insurance. The information that they do not take uninsured patients should have been made clear in the online registration.
Great service, always friendly and compassionate! Prescription delivery is also a huge plus as a busy professional :)
Amazingly excellent in every way. Thoughtful and speedy about prescriptions. And about the customer. Happy to deliver if you need it.
This is a mom and pop pharmacy with capabilities to fulfill some supply and equipment RX that the local Walgreens cannot. If you phone in your order in the morning, they will deliver that day before 5pm on M-F.
