Takes a week to do a transfer that previously was done in 15 minutes at any other Walmart in this state and country that I've been too. Not fun withdrawing off of 3 psychiatric meds as a legally SMI person on SSDI. Def not making the mistake of using the Walmart next door and just going to pay to Uber to the next city for future medication refills. Only downside to Avon/Indiana is this store location.

The pharmacy has been good with filling my scripts and has been expedient and cooperative with my doctor's office when issues came up. The pharmacists I've spoken with have been particularly courteous and attentive. Happy to have Delmar and the rest of the team as part of my healthcare network!

Pharmacist on duty 08/07/2025 @ 6:30 pm and technician were being racist and abusive to a 63 year old Type 2 diabetic and high blood pressure etc.. When asked reason for not filling prescriptions they laughed and put me us on hold for 45 mins... My health is at risk

Fifty years ago I recall going to the neighborhood pharmacy with my grandma and hearing the employees and pharmacist calling my grandmother by her first name and asking how she was doing and how was my grandfather. I remember hoping when I was her age I too would find that type of place. Fifteen years ago I did with this pharmacy. Jake, Dave and Cindy(the pharmacists) went out of their way to know their customers and their families. Laura, Sara,Emily, and Brenda(pharmacy techs) did as well. Even if you were just walking by the pharmacy one if not all of them would acknowledge you by your first name. They always treated you as family with real concerns about your health. Fast forward to today and now you are treated as an inconvenience to the current employees and pharmacists. The pharmacists are too good to come down off their pedestals to make a customer feel they care. The techs act as if you are inconveniencing their days. They don't care that the medications they are handing you may be saving your life, easing your pain or bettering your quality of life. Now instead of being treated as family, you are just another customer standing in line. There are only 2 employees(Cindy and Donna) who take the time to know their regular customers by name and make them feel like family. This pharmacy has went completely downhill over the past few years. Minus a few people the entire staff needs a class to teach them compassion for the people they are there to give service to. One thing for sure Noone should have to wait days to get their prescriptions filled. Those precious days mean a lot to a person who is ill or in pain. I use to feel proud to call the Avon Walmart pharmacy my pharmacy, not anymore. You need to go back to hiring people that truly care about the people they serve instead of the people just looking for a paycheck. If I could give a -5 I would for a pharmacy that use to be a 5+ pharmacy.

They took one of my medications off of auto-refill for no reason and never told me. They are constantly out of stock of my medications that I absolutely have to take daily, to the point that they are making me miss doses. One of the lady techs is extremely rude and acts like every customer is an inconvenience. Ever since the pharmacist Jake Skierkowski left, the place has gone downhill fast. Would give zero stars if I could

Staff is very efficient and Pharmacists are friendly and personable to customers. They take the time to counsel with new prescriptions and educate customers with a demeanor that demonstrates caring and kindness. I have transferred all my prescriptions from CVS to this Walmart even though it is farther from my home and not as convenient for me. Highly Recommend!

I needed to call to see it they had a certain medication I’m taking. I was put on hold for 50 minutes, then got hung up on. Then I called back and got put on hold for another 13 minutes. At this point I was just so frustrated. So, I called until they finally talked to me, they kept saying, “Walmart pharmacy, please hold.” Well I was done holding. I had a friend up at that same pharmacy and he said they were not busy enough to have me on hold for over an hour. It was just ridiculous, I’d pick another Walmart pharmacy if I were you. Maybe the Danville or Plainfield Walmarts. I’d give them no stars if I could.

Most of the techs are great, but one day they literally lost my prescription and did everything short of calling me a liar, then they reviewed the security tapes and saw me dropping it off. Even after that the pharmacist treated me like a criminal. I would avoid at all costs.
