Reading Ridge Pharmacy

The pharmacist here was extremely unprofessional and rude. We had just gotten back from taking our son to CHOP. Our current pharmacy didn’t have the medication so we were told to shop around to different pharmacies. My wife called this place and the pharmacist was very unpleasant. She was also short with her answers and sounded irritated at the questions my wife was asking. The only answers we were trying to get was whether if the pharmacy had that certain type of medication. The lady said that they could not accept faxed prescriptions from our pharmacist that we would’ve had to bring it in person so she could look it up. Every other pharmacy that we called, they took the name down, checked to see if they had it and said that they WOULD accept a faxed prescription from our pharmacist. If this woman doesn’t want to answer simple questions from the public or try to help, then maybe she should try to find a different profession. I will be contacting corporate and whoever else I need to in regards to this incident because this was completely unacceptable!!!!

Amina is a true professional. She has been very kind and understanding throughout my mental health journey. I highly recommend her to anyone who is facing " the runaround" regarding the various chain pharmacies. She listens and she truly cares about people.

When the big corporate pharmacies had a backlog for weeks of the medication needed, this pharmacy had it ready in a day! Pharmacist Amina is very knowledgeable, her customer service is impeccable and honest. Privately owned & operated: simply the best, because customer and pharmacist are both vested! Thank you!!!

I had a horrific experience. I have been unable to get a life saving medication filled so I tried this small pharmacy. When I called she said she had it. My other pharmacist (which has been unable to fill the prescription) went out of their way to call Reading Ridge to transfer the prescription. I called Reading Ridge to confirm receipt and she said she had received it and even asked for some additional details (birthday and address) and that she would call me once my medication was ready. Over a week went by so I called again. When I did the pharmacist (and by the way she is also the owner) declared she had no information for me under my name. I asked her to double check using my birthdate since sometimes some places misspell my name. I also asked why it was indicated to me that they had received the prescription and why they said they would call me (which she said is never their policy). She refused to investigate the matter any further and got so upset and claimed I was being rude. She threatened to hang up on me! I don’t understand how someone can be so insensitive to the nature of the importance of filling a life saving medication (or any medication for that matter) when that is your job—to serve a community of folks which require medications in a timely and communicative manner. It’s unfortunate that this pharmacist has no respect for humanity nor has the understanding of the power they have to support those with an illness. Imagine the change this person could create if she had met me with a little kindness, patience and compassion. Guess what? I was able to fill my prescription elsewhere.

Truly, I'm shocked at some of the negative reviews. I have never had anything but positive experiences with this pharmacy. After literally one visit the pharmacist knew me by name, and she has continued to interact with me in a caring, friendly, and professional manner since. She is also an excellent resource when I have medication questions/concerns. During the worst of COVID, this was one of the few pharmacies that consistently had tests, masks, and toilet paper in stock. The pharmacist is busy, because she's that good!

The Pharmacist at Reading Ridge was pleasant to work with to say the least. She is honest and I know because she saved me quite a bit of money on my prescription. On my way out she said if you ever have any questions on your medication or need anything just ask! It's not often you find someone that genuinely cares for their customers. I had moved to the area recently and was using the CVS then switched to Walgreens due to lack of communication (had to call on a regular basis to confirm readiness, availability and most of all pricing issues). Truly relieved that my Doc. referred me to this Pharmacy. Thanks Reading Ridge A++++ from me.

I've been a customer of Reading Ridge Pharmacy since Amina opened her doors. It is one of the few independently owned Pharmacy in the area. I've seen her stay after closing to complete filling customers prescription. I know she has left her home to help someone out after hours. Amina has been there for our family and the community. When my son-in-law was fighting cancer she was there to answer all our questions and helped guide us with other questions we should ask. Amina cares about her customer-oriented.She knows her repeat customes and there individual situations. She has helped me navigate through the complicated prescription pre-approval. Try getting this at any box store Pharmacy. Before Reading Ridge Pharmacy was open I've waited for 2 hours with a screaming sick child at one of there's box store Pharmacy. On the other hand when Hunterdon Pediatric was next door to Reading Ridge Pharmacy I've seen Amina help the mother with the screaming sick child and fill the prescription first. While apologizing to waiting customers for the delay. To the customer who got sick. Did you know it can take up to 72 hours for food poisoning to show symptoms. You could have also had a stomach virus. Did you go to a doctor and confirm what you are accusing Amina of? I know for a fact there are individuals in this community who enjoy making negative reviews with the hope of closing down an independent business. My question to all the negative reviews: Have you ever had a bad day where stress had gotten the best of you? Have you ever not been at your best? We are human beings let's remember that. Ps: the store is not dirty. Yes she has a lot of stuff in a small space. Those shelves are cleaned constantly and the store is vacuum daily. I recommend Reading Ridge Pharmacy to anyone that ask me and I do this with a clear conscious.

SO much better than any big pharmacy I’ve been to. This place is great! Update: after 5 years, I still love it. I’ve noticed that doctors and nurses usually have something nice to say about Amina (the pharmacist) when I tell them I go here. I’m not surprised. She’s pleasant, friendly, reliable, and has helped me out many times over the years. Highest possible recommendation!

After receiving a prescription, I went to 3 other pharmacies in the area who told me it would either take a week to get, or that their “scales were broken.” After calling Reading Ridge, Amina calmed my nerves and filled that same prescription in less than 24 hours. She earned me as a customer with compassion and following through on her word. Very happy with my experience.

Been going to Reading Ridge Rx now for over 20 yrs and can say Amina is the most respected, knowledgeable, and helpful, pharmacist I've used in the community. She is also very friendly as well and takes the time to explain all the medications to her customers. Highly recommend using Reading Ridge Pharmacy!
