I don't write many reviews -- and I certainly don't write many five star reviews! But ProHealth really deserves it. I should probably start by saying that I generally prefer mom-and-pop businesses to chains. Before I started going to ProHealth, I went to a local Duane Reade. My only regret is that I didn't know about this place sooner! Alex, who owns ProHealth, not only knows his stuff: he and the other staff members genuinely care about customers. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how rare that is these days. They are always helpful and sometimes they fill a prescription before I even call it in! I also appreciate their location. All in all, I would highly recommend ProHealth if you need a good pharmacy.

I recently reached out to ProHealth Pharmacy at the direction of my medical provider, who has worked with other clients who have successfully filed the same prescription there in the past. I made the call politely , explaining that I was reaching out at the behest of my practitioner and then provided the name of my medication. The male who answered the phone mumbled something that I believe was a "no" and then abruptly hung up. I was left feeling dismissed and disrespected. It's quite something to realize that this pharmacy has enough clients to disregard potential new patients in need of assistance. As a store that markets itself as family owned and neighborhood friendly, I would caution anyone seeking compassionate care or respectful service. This business clearly lacks both. Avoid ProHealth Pharmacy at all costs unless you don't mind experiencing poor customer service when reaching out for something as important as your monthly maintenance.

Amazingly helpful staff who go above and beyond for you. They make sure that your insurance info is correct so that no fees come out of your pocket, they are swift and knowledgeable with any and all questions, and are patient and kind to their customers. They also have medications in stock that are hard to find elsewhere. My newest favorite pharmacy. Thank you so much.

I’ve been going here for at least 20 years and have always enjoyed the product selection, the ambiance (an odd description for a pharmacy, but appropriate for this one) and the lovely and patience of the staff. It reminds me of pharmacies I’ve been to in Europe. They sell a lot of homeopathic and obscure supplements and salves, natural beauty products, beautifully smelling soaps and candles, in addition to hair products and ornaments you wouldn’t find in a big box CVS or Walgreens. The lighting is lovely, there’s no fluorescent lights or obnoxious background music, and seems to be designed to bring the customers anxiety level down. I wish there were more in the city; I find it torture to go to the bigger pharmacies when I have Pro Health as an option. In addition, they also sell the more mainstream over the counter products.

Don't normally leave reviews but wanted to thank Dr. Alex and his team for the great service I received over the holidays. Was worried about getting my PCR results back in time for my flight to Canada ...found this place online and walked in ...was seen within 20 min and received my results an hour later. There were a few clerical issues with the PDF I received, I called back and within 10 min everything was rectified. Yes, the test is pricey but if you are looking for guaranteed results in a short time frame this is the place to go! No issues boarding my flight!

Super rude pharmacist answering the phone. Called to ask if they had any stock of a medication. He says “no” and before I can ask when it would be in. He hangs up on me. Really lame, if you don’t like your job and don’t like helping people, maybe find a different line of work.

ProHealth is a true gem! While my father lived there, they were always kind knowledgeable and helpful! If they didn't have what you needed they would order it for you. They also have cool or cute random things,-like cool canes. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I am really impressed. I was let down by another company who did not return my PCR results in time for my flight (Lab Worq) and I was running around NYC desperate. I called ProHealth expecting a terse, rushed response like all the other clinics. Even though they were busy, they were patient and friendly on the phone. They were honest about how long the wait would be, and how much the price would be. Paid $200 for a rapid PCR test which sounds expensive, but is half of what everyone else is charging. When I got there, a friendly employee walked through the line and thanked everyone for waiting. I asked him if the test was good for entry to Canada, and he was honest about the fact he didn't know. He then proceeded to go behind the counter and verify with the airline that it was. The results came in a PDF, very clearly written out and organized. Much better than more expensive places I've used in the past. Thank you ProHealth for saving my trip home to Canada for Christmas.

We used ProHealth Pharmacy for rapid PCR travel tests. Given the delays with all testing these days, that was the only way to go. It was easy to set up an appointment, and Dr. Alex bent over backwards to make sure that all of our anxieties were placated. I noticed that they were taking walk-ins as well, but I would recommend getting an appointment.

Went there to get PCR tests done for an upcoming vacation. Dr Alex was amazing in dealing with me. He responded to all my online inquiries immediately. Most importantly, he delivered upon his promise to get me my PCR test results back within 24 hours. I highly recommend this place to get your PCR tests.

Visited August 2021 for travel pcr test for Japan - they were happy to fill in Japan specific form for me once the result came in within 24hrs. Price was also quite reasonable in comparison to other places, definitely recommend here :)
