I had the most unprofessional experience with the pharmacist Gary this morning I had a prescription sent to the pharmacy yesterday around 5 and I needed it last night but it wasn’t done so I called this morning because it still wasn’t being worked and I asked when would it be done firstly he didn’t even let me get everything out before he cut me off and requested my birthday was very rude from the start of the conversation. He then proceeded to call me back after the call ended not tell me he had my medicine ready but to check me and tell me “I better have a better attitude when I arrive to get my medicine” like excuse me instead of doing your job and getting my stuff ready that I needed yesterday you go into my profile find my phone number and call me back to argue and the store manager has no problem with it because I called the pharmacist a name so that justifies everything which is totally fine. I know the head of pharmacy ms.Gwen and I will be filing a complaint on the store manager Tracy and the pharmacist Gary you never know who people know so just do your job. If you want a good pharmacy and great Kroger try the one in New Albany it’s smaller but it’s way better stocked the employees are friendly the pharmacy takes 30 minutes to fill a prescription instead of 2 days like this pharmacy overall way better.
Will not be going back. My 6 month old son is on a liquid medication administered via syringe. The first time we picked up the prescription, they did not provide us with any syringes. The second time, the bottle did not have the topper that the syringe fits into. I returned a couple days later to get the topper. The older male pharmacist was there and was a bit rude as it did not appear that this topper fit until he used his entire upper body force to push it in. This pharmacist has been rude to me in the past when I’ve asked for assistance when looking for a medication over the counter. I do not plan to continue using this pharmacy because I do not feel like I am getting friendly or helpful customer service that I would expect.
The Kroger pharmacy workers are always rude to me on the phone when I call and ask if my prescription is ready or not. They are always interrupting me or speaking to me like I’m stupid. The way they talk is so unprofessional. I call and ask if my birth control is ready or not and they go “uhh I don’t know” well maybe you could go check for me???? Never had a good over the phone experience with any of the workers.
The male older pharmacist at this location is very rude, I went to pick up my meds after work knowing that I’d get there 10-15 mins before closing time, he sees me walking up and says we’re closed as he proceeds to close the gate around me, I explained I'm just here for pick up and he hunched his shoulders as if to say tough luck. Lucky the nice pharmacy tech intervened and offered to assist me, I’m so glad he’s there, he’s always very helpful. I too am a CPhT by trade, and though I no longer work with multiple pharmacists directly as a did for Humana Specialty Pharmacy in Cincinnati, I know what common courtesy looks like , our pharmacist there were always helpful and friendly, I was there for years…and that mean old Kroger pharmacist definitely doesn’t have the “it” factor. How can you work with the public, and not be a people person ? Just doesn’t make sense at all. As I walked away I checked the time on my phone and there he was locking the gate with 7 mins til closing time. Smh.
Called this morning and spoke with a Pharmacy technician who was absolutely no help. He was a male tech but I can’t remember his name. I asked if a medication was available and he said no, so I proceeded to ask if he could look up if the medication was located in any other Kroger pharmacy he then informed me he couldn’t do that. I go to Kroger for all of my pharmacy needs and in fact have asked in the past technicians from this location look up the same information that I was asking for and they do it with no problem . I know that the information can be looked up because a lovely technician from another store was able to do so. I kindly asked him to look it up so I did not have to call every single Kroger in Columbus or surrounding the Columbus area and he paused for a quick second like as if he was going to look it up and said nope I can’t find any store located in The neighboring area that has your medication , at that point I knew that he was lying, and I hung up and called another Kroger Pharmacy and a technician was happy to help and she was super helpful and inform me of all of the locations that have my medication and there was one that was literally right up the block from the Stoneridge location that had my medication and if he had taken the time to actually look, he would’ve known that, but he came to work not willing to do his job. Someone needs to talk to this guy.
Professional pharmacist and pharmacist assistant, fast and friendly service, highly recommend
I have had my prescription fill by this Krogers since 2017. I have not had any issues. there are days they are short staff but they work hard to fill the scripts. People need to be more patience. Treat people they way you want to treat at work.
I went to pick up my drug at the store. I was told I already picked it up. I said I had not, but I was told dismissively that I had. I went home and checked my credit cards. No charge to Kroger. I called and again I was told I had picked it up. I said I was more worried that someone may be using the wrong drug. Again, I felt they didn’t care. Then I called my doctor and my insurance with no help. I called Kroger back and asked if they could tell me the last couple of numbers of the credit card that was used. After a hold I was told that the situation was straightened out and my drug was ready to be picked up. I thought maybe they would at least appologize. No.
I called early afternoon to have a prescription transferred from CVS. The lady was very polite on the phone and said to give her an hour or so to get the prescription and they would have it ready. I told her I would be there after six. Arrived about 8 pm, waited in line only to be informed they didn't have the medication. I was told to come back tomorrow after 3. The only reason I went to Kroger tonight was to pick up my prescription. A wasted trip that could have been avoided with a simple call from the pharmacy. I have to wonder, too, how a name brand pharmacy, in a large suburb, can possibly be out of a very common generic drug used to treat cholesterol. It's like McDonald's being out of fries! Not a very good first impression.
The Pharmacist thinks she is a doctor or something, giving a sermon on side effects. Talking to you like you don't have a brain in your head.
